About ITSC 2019

WORKSHOP INFORMATION

With recent advances in both communications and electronics industries, modern vehicles and smart cities’ components are equipped with various types of embedded sensors and actuators for collecting regular and critical information as well as triggering automated intelligent decision making, underpinned by the emerging Internet of Things (IoT) platform. The smart city and transportation cloud services commonly provide a communication and computing platform that enables gathering a massive amount of data that require further processing using big data analytics tools to extract useful knowledge and facilitate intelligent decision making and follow-up actions. The vehicular/smart city cloud computing is a store house of information for an intelligent system in which the smart system processes all kinds of vehicular/smart city data to construct the traffic map, determine appropriate paths, avoid obstacles from the paths and organize the smart city services. This capability will in turn considerably enhance the reliability and security of the smart city and transportation Systems.
The current situation raises new challenges for researchers to develop new IoT-enabled applications that make full uses of the existing technologies as well as to contribute in improving the reliability and security of the smart City and the transportation systems. This international workshop aims to be a forum to discuss and cover the latest relevant contributions to IoT big data sensing, communication and analytics as well as supporting techniques to facilitate effective and efficient sensing and analytics tasks, tailored for smart city and intelligent transportation applications.

PAPER SUBMISSION

The proceedings of the DependSys 2019 Workshops will be published by Springer LNCS (Lecture Notes in Computer Science) in DependSys 2019 Workshops Proceedings (indexed by Scopus, ISI proceeding, EI).
All papers need to be submitted electronically through the conference website (hhttps://easychair.org/my/conference?conf=itsc2019) with PDF format.

  • Submitted papers must not substantially overlap with papers that have been published or that are simultaneously submitted to a journal or a conference with proceedings.
  • Papers must be clearly presented in English, must not exceed 12 pages in Springer LNCS format (or up to 16 pages with the pages over length charge), including tables, figures, references and appendices.
  • Papers will be selected based on their originality, significance, relevance, and clarity of presentation assessed by at least three reviewers.
  • Submission of a paper should be regarded as a commitment that, should the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors will register and attend the conference to present the work.
  • ITSC2019 reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (e.g., removal from the digital library and indexing services), if the paper is not presented at the conference.
  • All accepted papers will be published by Springer LNCS (Scopus, ISI Proceeding and EI Indexed).
  • One outstanding paper will be selected to receive the Best Paper Award.
