Introducing 'Cyber4Me,' a transformative initiative designed to equip young adults aged 16-20 with fundamental cyber knowledge and skills, all while emphasizing the critical importance of cybersecurity across industries. Engaging participants through a dynamic series of activities, this project offers invaluable insights into cybersecurity principles and practical strategies for safeguarding both individuals and organizations against cyber threats. Explore the four key activities that constitute this empowering program:

College Roadshows:

  • These roadshows, conducted at five different FE colleges, will offer Cyber Security 101 courses to introduce participants to fundamental security concepts and practical strategies for safeguarding personal and organizational data.

Online Training for Students:

  • Online training sessions will be conducted for 100-150 students from colleges and universities in the Black Country region, focusing on essential cybersecurity topics such as cybersecurity essentials, GDPR, and information security management. Participants will receive certificates upon completion of the training courses.

Cyber Hackathon and CTF Competition:

  • A Hackathon and Capture the Flag (CTF) competition will be organized for colleges and universities, providing students with opportunities to apply their cyber skills and compete in solving cybersecurity challenges.

Cyber Escape Room:

  • Participants will engage in a Cyber Escape event designed to provide hands-on security awareness training in an immersive and interactive environment. By solving puzzles and deciphering clues, students will learn about potential cyber risks and strategies to mitigate them.

Through these activities, Cyber4Me aims to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the evolving landscape of cybersecurity effectively. By highlighting the importance of cybersecurity across industries and offering hands-on learning experiences, the project seeks to foster a culture of cyber resilience and preparedness among young adults.
