Professor Md Saiful Azad, PhD, has joined as the Chairperson in the department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) on January 25, 2021. Prior to joining at GUB, he served as an academic in the Faculty of Computing at University Malaysia Pahang (UMP) from 2015. After joining, Prof. Dr. Golam Samdani Fakir (Vice Chancellor of GUB), Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque (Pro-Vice Chancellor & Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering), Prof. Dr. Md. Fayzur Rahman (Treasurer), Md. Saiful Islam (Acting Registrar), Distinguished Professors, Chairpersons, and all other members of the GUB family congratulate him. Prof. Azad obtained his Bachelor degree from the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology (CIT) at Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Bangladesh and Masters from the department of Information Engineering at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Malaysia. In 2013, He received his PhD from the Department of Information Engineering at University of Padova (UniPD), Italy. After the completion of his PhD, he joined in the Department of Computer Science at American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB) as a faculty member. He left AIUB on April 2015 and joined in the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (FICT) at University Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Malaysia. Before joining at GUB, he served UMP for around five years
